Compensation
Payment method: Weekly direct deposit
All employees receive a $100 equipment stipend when you start
Work Schedule
Standard Work Day: 7-8 hours (starting at 9:00 AM)
30-minute paid lunch (you can take your lunch break whenever you want)
We stick to a standardized weekly outline — no work on Saturdays
If you are concerned about any schedule conflicts, let us know (before the season begins) and we will try to make accommodations. Once a schedule has been agreed upon, we will need you to commit to that schedule during the season. If you have scheduled any trips during this work period, inform us so we can plan for your absence.

Novices are Welcome!
Previous farming experience is not required to work at New Hannah Farm. In fact, we actually encourage anyone with a farming background to adopt a “beginner’s mind” when learning about our systems and methodologies.

Planting Manager
MARCH - OCTOBER
5 DAYS/WK (MON-FRI)
35-40 HRS/WK
$25/HR*

The Planting Manager’s primary role is to protect the soil, plant crops on time, and perform maintenance to ensure successful harvests.
We are prepared to train people with no prior experience if they have strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
You will also be cross-trained to assist with general operations after completing your primary responsibilities.

Leading/managing crew members to terminate crops, prepare beds, plant, and care for crops
Coordinating with other managers
Propagation (seeding indoors)
Nursery management
Terminating spent crops
Bed preparation and planting
Crop maintenance (i.e. trellising, pruning, irrigation, etc.)
Auxiliary support to other managers and crew (after completing primary responsibilities)

March through October
WEELY SCHEDULE (FULL-TIME):
Monday through Friday (35-40 hrs/wk)
HOURS:
Standard work days are 7-8 hours, starting at 9:00 AM (35-40 hours per week)

TRAINING / PROBATIONARY RATE:
Position starts with a training/probationary rate of $22 / hrs.
OFFICIAL RATE:
If you are deemed a good fit after the probationary period ends, you will begin the role in earnest at $25 / hr. You will also be retroactively paid $3 x your training hours.
Harvest Manager
MARCH - OCTOBER
5 DAYS/WK (SUN-THURS)
35-40 HRS/WK
$25/HR*

The Harvest Manager’s primary role is to harvest crops on time, uphold quality and freshness standards, and ensure all customers’ orders are fulfilled.
We are prepared to train people with no prior experience if they have strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
You will also be cross-trained to assist with general operations after completing your primary responsibilities.

Maintaining quality standards
Inventory management
Order fulfillment
Opening/restocking farm stand
Auxiliary support to other managers and crew (after completing primary responsibilities)

WEELY SCHEDULE (FULL-TIME):
Sunday through Thursday (35-40 hrs/wk)
HOURS:
Standard work days are 7-8 hours, starting at 9:00 AM (35-40 hours per week)

Position starts with a training/probationary rate of $22 / hrs.

General Crew
APRIL - OCTOBER*
4 DAYS/WK (2 OPTIONS)*

As a member of the General Crew, your role is to help managers complete their goals for the day.
Depending on the day, you will be assigned to work with the Planting Manager, Harvest Manager, or Farm Manager.
No prior farming experience required.
You will be cross-trained to assist with all parts of day-to-day operations.

Coordinating with managers and other crew members
Propagation work (i.e. seeding indoors, caring for seedlings, etc.)
Planting (i.e. terminating spent crops, preparing beds, planting, etc.)
Crop maintenance (i.e. irrigation, pruning, trellising, spraying, etc.)
Harvesting, packing, and updating inventory

Full-season schedule: April through October
Peak season schedule: May through September
WEELY SCHEDULE (PART-TIME):
Sunday through Wednesday
Tuesday through Friday
HOURS:
Standard work days are 7-8 hours, starting at 9:00 AM (21-28 hours per week)
